Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or oil
- 4 onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. powdered cinnamon
- 6 whole cloves
- 5-lb chicken, skinned and cut in serving pieces
- 2 med. tomatoes. peeled and quartered
- 1 1/2 tbl. salt
- 3 tbls curry powder
- 1 tbl. paprika

Preparation
Step 1
Heat the butter in a casserole or skillet, add onions and garlic and brown. Add bay leaves, cinnamon and cloves.
Cover and cook for 5 min.
Add chicken and cook uncovered until water in meat has steamed off. Add remaining ingredients; stir to avoid burning.
Cover with water and cook until chicken is tender.
