Fruit Cake

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 C flour
• 1 t. baking soda
• 1/2 t. salt
• 1 1/2 t. cinnamon
• 1 t. allspice
• 1 t. nutmeg
• 1/4 t. cloves
• 1/2 C butter
• 1 C suger
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 C applesauce
• 1 C dried fruit
• 1 C chopped walnuts
• 1 C chopped candied cherries

Preparation

Step 1

Cream sugar & butter. Add applesauce & beaten egg. Sift flour with baking soda, salt & spices. Add to wet mixture. add fruit, walnuts & Cherries.
Bake in greased loaf pan at 325 about 1 1/2 hrs or til done, when cake tester comes out clean.
