Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 lb. raisin bread, dry & cubed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place mik and vanilla in sauce pain. Bring to boil, then remove from heat.
2. In mixing bowl, mix sugar, salt and egg. Add egg mixture to hot milk. Mix well.
3. In 6"x9"x 1-1/2" pan, place bread and raisins. Add milk mixture to bread. Spoon butter over top and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon ovr top.
4. Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes or until custard is set. Serve warm
