- 2 Tbs aniseed
- 2 Tbs fennel seed
- 2 Tbs ground cinnamon
- 2 Tbs whole cloves
- 2 Tbs whole peppercorns

In a spice grinder or with a mortar and pestle, combine all the ingredients (in batches if necessary); grind until mixture becomes a powder.
