- 1 cup golden or dark rum
- 2 vanilla beans, split

Step 1
Pour rum into a clean 1 1/2 cup jar. Split vanilla beans lengthwise. Scrape out seeds with tip of knife and add to rum. Add split beans and cover tightly. Let steep for 1 month.
Use this incredibly easy flavoring in place of vanilla extract.
