  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Set aside to cool to room temperature. Blend in egg. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mixing well. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread into greased 8" x 8" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Let cool. Makes 9.
