Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 1 1/2 C Brown Sugar
  • 2/3 C Salad Oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C Sour Milk
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 1/2 C Flour
  • 1 tsp Soda
  • 1 1/2 C finely cut rhubarb (not de-skinned)
  • 1/2 C nuts
  • 1/2 C Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbs Melted Butter

Preparation

Step 1

Cream sugar and oil. Add egg. Stir in sour milk, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Add flour and soda then gently stir in rhubarb and nuts. Turn dough into a 9x13 greased pan. Sprinkle topping over dough. Bake in 325 degree oven for 40 mins. Do not over bake.
Sour milk: add 2 tsp vinegar to 1 C milk.
