Chocolate Pan Frosting

Ingredients
- 8 Tbs butter
- 4 Tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup milk
- 4 cups confectioners sugar, sifted

Preparation
Step 1
Place the butter in a medium saucepan and melt over low heat, 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the cocoa powder and milk. Let the mixture come just to a boil, stirring, and then remove the pan from the heat.
Stir in the confectioner's sugar until the frosting is thickened and smooth. (If too thick, add a little more milk.)
Pour the warm frosting over the top of a cooled cake of your choice, spreading it with a spatula so that it reaches all sides of the cake. Work quickly because this frosting goes on best while still warm.
Make 4 cups, or enough to frost a 2- or 3- layer cake.
