- 1 1 1 C. sugar
- 1/3 1/3 1/3 C. flour
- 1 1 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 1 1 tsp. cinnamon
- dash dash of salt
- 8 8 8 C. tart apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 3 3 Tbsp. butter

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat ove to 425 F. Prepare pastry. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt; mix with apples. Turn onto pastry lined pan; dot with butter. Cover with top crust which has slits cut in it; seal and flute edges. Cover edge with 2-3 inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent excess browning; remove foil last 15 minutes of baking. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits.
