Peanut Chews

Ingredients

• 1 pkg yellow cake mix
• 1/3 cup margarine
• 1 egg
• 3 cups miniature marshmallows
• 2/3 cup light corn syrup
• 1/4 cup margarine
• 1 pkg (12 oz) butterscotch chips
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 2 cups rice krispies
• 2 cups peanuts

Preparation

Step 1

Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup margarine and egg. Mix until crumbly. Press into 13 x 9" ungreased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.

Top with marshmallows and bake for 2 more minutes.

Heat corn syrup, 1/4 cup margarine, and butterscotch chips; stir until creamy then add vanilla.

Pour heated mixture over rice krispies and peanuts. After the mixture has cooled; pour over the marshmallow layer.
