  • Cake:
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbs grated lemon peel
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • Glaze:
  • 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1-2 tbs milk

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven 325* Combine sugar and butter beating until fluffy, add eggs one at a time until well mixed. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, alternating with buttermilk until well mixed. Stir in lemon peel and 1 TBSP lemon juice. Spread batter into greased and floured bundt pan Bake 55-65 min until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 min and remove. Cool completely. Stir together powdered sugar and lemon juice and milk for desired glazing- Drizzle over cake
