Ingredients

  • 2 bags of fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 small red onion chopped
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 4 slices of bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 1 cup raw unsalted sunflower seeds [pecans or walnut can be substituted for sunflower seeds]
  • Dressing
  • 1 cup mayonnaise 2 tbs cider vinegar
  • 2 tbs sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Put all above ingredients [except bacon] in a bowl, cover, refrigerate at least 2 hours for flavors to melt together. Can cut broccoli into small chunks or leave whole. Mix dressing ingredients together and put in refrigerator for at least an hour for the sugar to dissolve. About 1 hour before serving, stir dressing really well and pour over broccoli and mix until coated.
