Ingredients
- Box of saltine crackers
- 3 sticks of butter
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Any type of nuts

Preparation
Step 1
Line baking sheet [with sides] 13x8 with foil and then grease with butter [melt 1-2 tbs butter and apply with pastry brush]. Line baking sheet with crackers [ some may need to be cut to fit the pan]. In a sauce pan melt 3 sticks of butter and 1 1/2 cups brown sugar. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, keep stirring. Pour immediately over crackers. Bake in oven for 10 minutes at 350. If crackers bubble up , take a fork and press them down.Pour 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips over hot mixture. Put back in the oven. Let the chocolate chips melt for about 1 minute, spread chocolate chips with back of spoon. If you like sprinkle any type of chopped nuts over the top and press down with the back of a spoon. Let cool then refrigerate several hours. Break into bite size bites.
