Ingredients

  • 2 large cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 29 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 29 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 small cans tomatoe paste
  • 1 large bottle V8
  • 14 cloves garlic
  • 1 small pepper
  • 4 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 3 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb sweet italian sausage
  • salt/pepper to taste
  • Red Pepper flakes, to taste
  • fresh herbs-cilantro, oregano, basil

Preparation

Step 1

Brown and drain fat from ground pork, beef and sausage.

Clean and finely chop all vegetables.

Combine all ingredients except fresh herbs in large pot. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer slowly for 2-3 hours.

Chop herbs and add at end of cooking.

Use sauce for spaghetti or for casseroles. Sauce freezes well also.
