Spice Cake

Ingredients

• 3/4 Shortening
• 1 t Cinnamon
• 1 1/4 C Brown Sugar
• 3/4 t Nutmeg
• 1 C Sugar
• 1/2 t Ground Cloves
• 3 Eggs
• 1 t Salt
• 1 C Flour
• 1 1/2 C Buttermilk
• 1 1/2 t Baking Soda

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cream butter with sugar, add eggs, beat well.

2. Sift dry ingredients. Alternately, add dry with wet ingredients, ending with buttermilk.

3. Bake at 350˚ 30-40 minutes.
