Ingredients
- 3 pounds baking potatoes peeled, cut into 2" chunks
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp. salt divided
- 3/4 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. minced fresh chives or 2 tsp. dried

Preparation
Step 1
Place potatoes, garlic and 1/4 tsp. salt in large saucepan; cover with water and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 30 min or until tender. Drain and return to saucepan.
With electric mixer whip potatoes, garlic, milk, butter, pepper and 3/4 tsp. salt until smooth and fluffy. Stir in cheese and chives.
