  • 1 package Pillsbury All Ready Pie Crusts
  • 8 large apples
  • 1 package Pillsbury All Ready Pie Crusts
  • 8 large apples (4 Honey Crisp, 4 Golden Delicious)
  • 1 cup Splenda Granulated, OR 1/2 cup Truvia Blend
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Place the bottom pastry crust in pie plate. Toss the apples in a large bowl with the Splenda, cinnamon, cornstarch, and lemon juice until the apples are evenly coated. Pour the apples into the crust, piling them slightly higher in the center. Place second crust on top and crimp edges decoratively or make a lattice crust if desired. Cut a few slits into the top for steam to escape. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Place on a foil lined baking sheet (in case it bubbles over) and bake for 60 minutes at 375 degrees then lower oven to 300 degrees and bake an additional 30 minutes. Cool for at least one hour before cutting.
