Ingredients
- Icing:
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. imitation coconut flavoring
- 1 tsp. imitation rum extract
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring

Step 1
Heat oven to 325. Grease and flour tube pan.
Beat together butter and shortening. Add sugar and eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Pour into tube pan. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Pour icing over warm cake.
In small saucepan combine all ingredients. Boil for 1 minute. Brush over cake.
