Preparation
Step 1
Place each loaf of bread in a greased large bowl, turning once to grease the top of each loaf. Cover and allow the loaves to rise in a warm place until the loaves have doubled in size. Punch each of the loaves down and roll into 15” x 12” rectangles. In a small bowl, combine the eggs, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, ground mustard, and oregano. Brush the seasoned oil mixture over the dough to within 1/2” of the edges; Set the remaining egg mixture aside. Layer the dough with ground beef, pepperoni, cheeses, onion, and green pepper to within 1/2” of the edges. Roll up the dough jelly-roll style, beginning with a long side of the dough; Seal the edge well. Place the dough, seam side down, onto greased baking sheets. Brush the top of the dough with the remaining egg mixture. Bake the Stromboli at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 – 35 minutes or until the dough is lightly browned. Allow the Stromboli to stand for 5 – 10 minutes before slicing.
