Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 pkgs budding beef, chopped
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 slices texas toast

Preparation

Step 1

In a skillet or saucepan, melt butter over heat. Drop beef into hot butter; saute for 5 minutes. Sprinkle sugar over beef, stirring constantly. Sprinkle on flour, stirring constantly. When flour is completely mixed in, gradually add the milk, stirring constantly.

Keep stirring the sauce until it thickens. Lightly butter toasted bread. Spoon beef over slices of bread and serve.
