Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 stick unsalted butter melted
  • Filling:
  • 1 cream cheese softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (16 oz) box powdered sugar
  • 1 stick unsalted butter melted
  • 1 c. almond toffee bits or chocolate toffee bits

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan.

Cake: Combine cake mix, egg and butter and mix well with electric mixer. Pat into bottom of prepared pan and set aside.

Filling: Using electric mixer beat the cream cheese until smooth. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Dump in powdered sugar and beat well. Reduce the speed and slowly pour in the butter. Mix wll. Fold in toffee bits.

Pour filling onto cake mixture and spread evenly. Bake for 40-50 min. Watch the time!! You want the center to be a little gooey, so don't bake too long.

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. Cut into squares.
