Ingredients

  • Add:
  • 1 cup quite warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. molasses
  • Beat well.
  • 2 cups white flour
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 scant cups of lukewarm water
  • Mix well.
  • Add:
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup multi grain flour
  • 1 slightly rounded Tbsp. fermipan yeast
  • 1/4 cup ground flax seed
  • Mix well.
  • Add: 2 or 2 1/2 cups more white flour

Step 1

Let rise 1 hour or so. Grease bread pans very well especially on the sides at the top. Cut dough into 4 pieces, shape into loaves, making sure that the air is out of the top especially. ( I usually thump it on the board a few times when shaping). Put bread into pans, roll over so greased side is on the top. Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 375F for 25-30 minutes.
