Muddy Buddies (Puppy Chow)

Ingredients

• 9 cups Chex brand cereal (your favorites)
• 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/4 cup butter or margarine
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a 1 qt microwave-safe bowl combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and margarine. Microwave on High 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth, stirring after 1 minute. Stir in vanilla.

2. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Pour cereal mixture into a large jumbo ziploc bag with confectioners' sugar.

3. Seal securely and shake until all pieces are well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in ziploc bags.
