Ingredients
- 8 oz. lean ground beef
- 8 oz. mild italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. frozen mixed veggies, thawed
- 1 c. water
- 1 can (6oz) tomato paste
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp. beef bouillon granules
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
- 1 pkg. (2lbs) refrigerated mashed potatoes
- 1/2 c. chopped green onions
- 6 oz grated sharp cheddar cheese

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly coat 13 x 9 baking dish w/ cooking spray. Coat large skillet w/ cooking spray; heat over med-high heat. Brown beef, sausage & onion, stirring frequently to break up meat; drain fat. Add veggies, water, tomato paste, parsley, bouillno granules, sugar, salt, pepper, and red pepper; stir till well blended.
Transfer mixture to prepared dish. Spoon potatoes evenly over top. Sprinkle w/ green onions and cheese. Coat sheet of foil w/ cooking spray. Cover dish w/ foil, sprayed side down, to prevent cheese from sticking. Bake 22-25 mins. or till bubbly and cheese is melted.
