Prepare ice cream mixture in advance to allow it time to chill in the refrigerator before freezing.

Mixer at "stir," turned on before pouring mixture in. Should take 20-30 minutes.

Right amount of liquid for bowl: 5 3/4 cups
1 gallon = 4 quarts = 16 cups
1/2 gallon = 2 quarts = 8 cups
1 quart = 4 cups
