Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 pkgs (4 serving size each) Jello-O Brand Margarita
  • Flavored Gelatin
  • 1/2 Cup Tequila
  • Grated peel and juice from 1 lime
  • 2 Cups thawed Cool Whip

Preparation

Step 1

Stir boiling water into dry gelatin mixes with wire whisk in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in tequila and 2 TBSP of the lime juice. Add whipped topping and 1 tsp of th lime peel. Stir until whipped topping is completely melted and mixture is well blended.

Pour into 8 inch square pan.

Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Cut into 36 pieces to serve. Garnish with additional lime peel and coarse salt if desired. Makes 9 servings - 4 pieces each.

Non-Alcoholic - substitute cold water for tequila.
