Ingredients
- 3 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 Tbs. vanilla
- 2 2/3 c. flour
- Colored Sugars

Preparation
Step 1
Beat butter, sugar and vanilla in large bowl until pale and fluffy. Gradually beat in flour until just blended.
Divide dough in half. Shape each portion into a 1" thick disk. Wrap individually and chill for at least 4 hours or until firm enough to roll.
Heat oven to 325. Use a 1 3/4" stap shaped cookie cutter.
On a lightly floured surface with a floured rolling pin roll out 1 disk at a time (keep other refrigerated) to 3/8" thick. Cut out stars with floured cookie cutter. Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
