  • 615 g fresh strawberries, quartered
  • 10 ml vanilla extract
  • 50 g white sugar
  • 60 ml water

Preparation

Step 1

1. Combine the strawberries, vanilla extract, sugar, and water in a saucepan over medium heat.

2. While the mixture cooks, crush the strawberries with a potato masher.

3. Simmer the sauce until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes; cool.

4. Optionally, after the mixture has cooled, transfer it to a blender and pulse until desired consistency is reached.
