Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. sweet Italian ground pork sausage
- 1 lb. ground beef sirloin
- 1 t. dried oregano
- 1 t. dried basil
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. fennel seed, crushed
- 1/4 t. garlic powder
- 6 slices mozzarella cheese
- 6 Italian rolls, split
- Garnish: tomato-basil pasta sauce, warmed

Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, combine sausage, beef and seasonings. Mix well and form into 6 burgers. Lightly coat a grill with non-stick vegetable spray.
Grill burgers over medium-high heat for 5 minutes; turn and continue grilling for 2 minutes.
Top burgers with cheese; grill an additional 5 minutes. Remove burgers from grill; let stand for several minutes.
Toast roll halves on grill, cut-side down. Top burgers with a dollop of pasta sauce; sandwich burgers in rolls to serve.
