Ingredients
- 1-3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 t. baking powder
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/4 c. butter, chilled
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; process for several seconds. Add butter and vanilla; process until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add remaining ingredients; pulse until dough is evenly moistened.
Divide dough into 4 equal parts; form each into a log. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes; remove from oven.
Cut logs on the diagonal into one-inch thick slices. Place slices cut-side down on baking sheets. Bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, until golden. Cool on wire racks.
Makes 3 dozen.
