Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. baking powder
- 1/4 t. salt
- 2 c. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 6-oz. pkg. toffee baking bits

Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Stir in egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 10 minutes, until lightly golden. Cool on wire racks.
Makes 3 dozen.
