Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 4 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese (1 cup)
  • 4 oz. shredded monterey jack cheese (1 cup)
  • 6 bacon strips, cooked & crumbled (3/4 cups)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 lb. fresh Jalapeno peppers (11 peppers, halved lenthwise & seeded)
  • 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Combine cream cheese, cheddar & jack cheese, bacon, salt, chili powder and garlic powder. Spoon 2 tablespoons into each pepper half and roll in bread crumbs. May be placed on tinfoil-lined cookie sheet for easier cleanup. Bake uncovered 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 7 servings, 3 pepper halves each.
