Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp plus 2 T butter, divided
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • pinch salt
  • 1 jar marshmallow creme (7 oz)
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3 packages (4 oz each) German sweet chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 2 cups chopped walnuts

Step 1

Line a 15x10x1 inch baking pan with foil (or use 2 9x9 inch pans). Grease the foil with 1 1/2 tsp butter; set aside.

In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, salt and remaining butter. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a rapid boil; boil for 5-6 minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat; stir in marshmallow cream until melted. Stir in chips and German chocolate until melted (can use mixer to beat). Add walnuts if desired. Mix well.

Pour into the prepared pan and refrigerate overnight, or until firm. Remove fudge from pan, carefully peel off foil, and cut into 1-in. squares. Store in refrigerator.
