Ingredients

  • 16 bay leaves, finely crushed (2 tsp)
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 2 tsp celery seed
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground mustard
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Kosher salt

Step 1

1. In a small bowl, combine the bay leaves, paprika, celery seed, ginger, mustard, nutmeg and 1 Tbsp salt.

2. Pat about 2 tablespoons into each pound of seafood, meat or vegetables. For extra flavor, refrigerate for a few hours before cooking. Yields 1/4 cup.

Tip: The rub can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 months.
