Gluten-free Apple Crisp

- 6 apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Topping
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup gluten-free, old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (whichever you prefer)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons butter

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine the apples, cinnamon, honey and lemon juice in a medium bowl. Stir together to make sure the apples are all evenly coated. This will be the filling.
In a separate bowl, mix together the almond flour, gluten-free oats, salt, cinnamon and pecans or walnuts.
Usng your hands, work the ¼ cup of honey and 3 tablespoons of butter into the above mixture. It should have a crumbly consistency.
Place apples into a 9x9 baking dish, then cover with the topping.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the topping is golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Can serve immediately warm. Tip: Put some whip cream or even dairy free whip cream on top for an amazing holiday dessert!
