Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup flour (toast flour for added flavor)
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened

Preparation

Step 1

1) Sift together cornstarch, sugar and flour. With wooden spoon blend in butter until a soft, smooth dough forms.

2) Shape into 1" balls. If dough is too soft to handle, cover and chill for 1 hour. Place 1 1/2" apart on ungreased baking sheet; flatten slightly with fork.
Alternatively, roll dough to 1/4", cut with cookie cutters.

3) Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
Cool.
