Ingredients

  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 unbaked pastry shell
  • 2 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • strawberries, sliced

Step 1

Heat oven to 350. Place 6 oz chocolate in large, microwave-safe bowl. Cook on high for 2 minutes, until almost melted, stirring 1/2 way through. Remove and stir until completely melted. Stir in corn syrup and 1/2 cup heavy cream. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Pour into pastry shell. Bake in oven for 45 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from the center comes out clean. Cool on rack. The center of the pie will sink after cooling.

Whip remaining 1/2 cup cream. Add sugar and vanilla; beat until fluffy and fully whipped. Fill center of cooled pie. Garnish with strawberries. Melt remaining chocolate and drizzle over berries.
