Ingredients

  • 3/4 C. plus 2 T. sugar
  • 3/4 C. water
  • 3-4 medium-size ripe kiwis
  • 1 C. sliced fresh strawberries
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1/2 t. vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

1)Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan and place over low heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Raise the heat and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

2)Peel the kiwis and cut into quarters. Place the kiwis and the berry slices in blender with the cooled syrup, lime juice and vanilla. Blend on low until the mixture is smooth, about 1 minute. Refrigerate until cold, or overnight.

3)Stir the chilled mixture, then freeze overnight in a tight container. Remove from freezer and blend in small batches. Refreeze, and remove from freezer 20 minutes prior to eating.
