Prize Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 2 1/2 cup all purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 cups quick cooking oats, uncooked

Preparation

Step 1

Beat together sugar and butter until well blended and creamy. Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture until blended. Stir in oats. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes; remove from oven when slightly underdone and not yet golden.
