Ingredients

2 2 2 C. brown sugar
2 1/2 2 1/2 1/2 C. bread flour
1 1 1/2 C. shortening (1/2 butter, 1/2 crisco)
2 2 2 eggs, beaten
1 1 1 C. buttermilk
1 1 1 tsp. baking soda
1 1 1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1 1 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F. Blend sugar, flour and cinnamon. Add shortening in and work until like crust. Set aside 1 cup of the mixture. Add baking powder, baking soda, eggs and buttermilk. Pour in cake pan and top with crumb topping. Bake for 50 minutes.
