  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • FROSTING
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • dash of salt

Preparation

Step 1

FOR COOKIES

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and extracts, then the sour cream. Mix dry ingredients well. Gradually add dry to wet. Chill dough until cold. Roll into 1" balls spacing 2" apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.

FOR FROSTING

Cream butter and sugar, add remaining ingredients. Frost cookies when cooled.
