Kenny's Easy Bruchetta

Freshly toasted bread piled high with a mixture of fresh tomatoes, basil, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and garlic. A delicious, simply prepared summer appetizer.

Ingredients
- 6 or 7 ripe tomatoes, about 1 1/2 pounds
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 6 to 8 fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 baguette French bread or similar bread

Preparation
Step 1
Dice tomatoes, mice garlic and mix in bowl with remaining ingredients. Let stand in bowl for 30 minutes.
Slice bread on the diagonal, and brush the tops with olive oil or soft butter. Toast in a 350°F oven until golden brown.
Spoon tomato mixture over toast, serve immediately.
