Creamy Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo

I tweaked a Chicken Alfredo recipe to come up with this one...one of my guys' favorite dinners!

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 lb. large frozen shrimp, thawed
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 T plus 1 tsp. olive oil, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 T minced onion
- 3 cups whipping cream
- 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
- 1 T coarsely chopped fresh parsley

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F. Place flour in a shallow dish or pie plate. Sprinkle chicken and shrimp with salt; coat with flour. Heat 2 T. olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add chicken; cook and stir until golden brown. Remove chicken from skillet and place in a 9x13 dish. Add shrimp and cook until no longer translucent. Remove from skillet and add to chicken in dish.
Heat remaining olive oil in same skillet over medium heat until hot. Add garlic and onion; cook until garlic is fragrant and onion is tender, 1-2 minutes. Incease heat to medium-high; add whipping cream, Parmesan and pepper. Cook until sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes. Spoon sauce over chicken and shrimp in dish.
Bake chicken and shrimp until an instant-read thermometer inserted in center of chicken registers 180°F, 8-12 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.
Serve with fettucini, farfalle or your favorite pasta.
