Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dry buttermilk powder
- 1 tbsp dried parsley for blending (1 tsp reserved)
- 1/2 tsp dried dill weed for blending (1/2 tsp reserved)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried onion flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp pieces dried portabella mushrooms
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp sugar
Preparation
Step 1
1. Add all dry ingredients except the reserved portions of parsley and dill. Blend in blender until a nice powder
2. Hand mix in the reserved parley and dill
3. Store dry mix in air-tight container or jar in pantry for 2-3 months or in freezer for 6+ months
To make Dip:
Mix 2 tbsp of dry mix with 1/2 - 1 cup of sour cream. Chill for 2 hours and serve as a dip.
To make Dressing:
Mix 2 tbsp of dry mix with 1 cup mayonnaise and 2/3 cup buttermilk. Mix together and let sit in fridge for 1-2 hours. (Milk is not an adequate replacement for the buttermilk, buttermilk is the key).
