Ingredients

  • Tart Shells:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 package (3 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup flour
  • Filling:
  • 2 T butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Step 1

For tart shells, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add flour; mix until a soft dough forms. Cover and chill for at least an hour or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place balls into cups of mini-muffin pan. Dip tart shaper into flour and press into dough to form shell.

For filling, combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well. Fill tart shells evenly with filling. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Remove pan to rack and cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
