Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix and ingredients to make cake according to package
  • 2 lb ricotta cheese(whole milk)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (5.1 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 8 oz cool whip

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 and spray 9x13 pan with non stick spray

In large bowl mix chocolate cake according to box directions
Set aside

In another bowl beat together ricotta cheese, eggs, sugar and vanilla until smooth

Pour cake batter into prepared pan

Carefully spoon the cheese mixture on top of cake batter evenly over whole pan

Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 min.
Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before frosting

Stir pudding mix and milk with a whisk until combined. Carefully fold in the cool whip into pudding mix until combined. Spread pudding mixture over the top of the cooled cake. Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours before serving. Tastes even better the next day
