BLT Chicken Sliders

Ingredients
- Cranberry Ketchup:
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 coarsely chopped fresh or frozen cranberries
- 3 Tbs. spicy brown mustard
- 3 tbs. ketchup
- 2 1/2 Tbs. full flavor molasses
- 1 1/2 tsp. worcesteshire
- 1/8 tsp. chili powder
- 1/8 tsp. paprika
- Sliders:
- 12 slices applewood smoked bacon
- 2 Tbs maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 3/4 lbs. uncooked ground skinless chicken thighs (have butcher grind for you)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped shallots
- 1/4 cup fresh snipped basil
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. snipped fresh thyme
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp. dried sage crushed
- 1 cup shredded sharp white cheddar
- 12 small bakery buns, split and toasted
- small butter lettuce leaves
- 12 slices roma tomato

Preparation
Step 1
Ketchup:
bring all ingredients to boiling
reduce heat and boil gently uncovered about 10 min. or until thickened
stir occasionally, set aside
Sliders:
in very large skillet, cook bacon over med. heat until crisp
mix maple syrup and 1/2 tsp. pepper, drizzle over bacon
cover skillet, cook 1-2 min. more
remove bacon, halve crosswise, wrap in foil
in large bowl mix chicken, shallot, basil, salt, thyme, garlic and sage
shape into 12 patties
place on greased grill over med. heat
grill 12-14 min. or until 170 degrees, turning once
during last 2 min. add bacon packet and top patties with cheese
