Sugar Cookie Frosting

Ingredients

• 4 cups confectioners' sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 5 tablespoons milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

In large bowl, cream together confectioners' sugar and shortening until smooth. Slowly add powdered sugar about half a cup at a time. Once it starts clumping up, add the milk/ etc, then add more sugar if you want to make it a bit thicker. Gradually mix in milk and vanilla with electric mixer until smooth and stiff, about 5 minutes. Color with food coloring if desired.
