- 4 T Butter
- 3/4 C Sugar
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1 t Vanilla
- 1 1/2 C Flour
- 2 t Baking Powder
- 1/2 t Salt
- 3/4 C milk

Step 1
1. Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg and vanilla, mix well.
2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Mix well.
3. Pour into greased 8 x 8 baking pan, bake 350 deg 45 minutes. Cake should spring back when touched.
