Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 1 Tbs vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp bottled hot pepper sauce
  • 1 2 1/2 to 3 pound broiler-fryer chicken, cut up

Preparation

Step 1

For sauce, in small bowl stir together ketchup, marmalade, vinegar, celery salt, chili powder and hot pepper sauce.

Grill chicken, bones side down, over medium, indirect heat for 50 to 60 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 180 degrees. Brush occasionally with sauce during the last 10 minutes of cooking.

Heat any remaining sauce until bubbly and serve with chicken.
